After two major accomplisment in my education endeavors, my Bachelors in Music Education and Masters of Arts I decided to join the Navy in 1973. Little did I know that I would end up becoming a full time musician in the US Navy Music Program. Thirty-One years later and having been around the world 3 times performing over 5,000 concerts I retired in San Diego, California. A little R&R never hurt anyone! But, that was not enough for me.. I started composing Tropical music and borrowing from my 5 generations of musicians in my family I started creating great spicy Salsa, Merengues, Cumbias, Bachatas and Romantic Music. Since my retirement in 2004 I have produced 2 CDs, a Salsa/Merengue and a Romantic Salsa one. My gosh! I have sold over 6,000 copies! San Diego knows who Manny Cepeda is and everyone is saying "Man, your music sounds like the one I hear in the radio everyday!" This is when I decided to go into "Our Stage" what a better place to let you decide if this comment was true or not. Well, of the two songs I posted one is up to 28 and rising. I have been called an anomaly because I can write my lyrics, write the music and make the musical arrangement. A one man stop shop! I'll let you be the judge.
