Congratulations to our Boricua of Vega Baja... Lin Manuel Miranda, the Creator of this year's Best Broadway Musical - In the Heights!  He also won for best Score/Autor... the show was nominated for 13 Tonys.  It's an incredible show...I saw it when it was off-Broadway and also just recently on Broadway.  Support our Boricuas... go out and see what all the "hoopla" is about!

Just wanted to let everyone know that I'll be going to Puerto Rico with a group of my friends - 6 women (2 boricuas and 4 gringas) in a Vacation home in Maunabo.  WOOO HOOO!  We rented the place for 5 days in April.  We're hoping to get away from all the crap in Jersey and I am so anxious to show off my island to my friends.  I'll tell you guys all about it. 

I am due for a good vacation and I am so looking forward to it. 

PUERTO RICO..... HERE I COME!!!!  With the other white meats!  hehehe

HOLA FAMILIA...

I received a sort of nasty email the other day from a "so-called" chat friend.  She was totally upset because I entered the chat room and came right out without saying hi to her - but I was looking for a particular person and was not in the mood the chit-chat with anyone.  She told me to delete her as a friend, and called me rude, etc.  Let me explain to all those who may feel that way with me...this is what I replied to her:

THAT'S FINE!  I'll delete you.  But just a little note, in case you have not heard.  The reason I am not in the mood to chitchat is because of certain people, nothing to do with you.  I've been out of the loop.  I went in there just looking for someone in particular...not in the mood the chat.  Why not in the mood to chat, because after coming back from a beautiful cruise in mid December, my dear sister, who was with me on the cruise and shares my home with me, and who I have helped raised her kids passed away UNEXPECTEDLY on Dec. 17.  Forgive me if I am not in the mood to chitchat with you.  But I have not had time to mourn - with the Cruise, her death, Christmas, New Years, the beginning of a semester at work, and looking on how to pay not only my household debts, but my sisters funeral expenses, continue to raise her kids - one who is in college.  SORRY I HAD NOT TIME TO CHIT CHAT.  BUT I WILL DELETE YOU FROM MY LIST.  THANKS. 

I really wish we all grow up and stop acting like spoiled kids - getting tantrums for no reason!  There are more important things in life than arguing for petty "shet". 

Thanks to those who have emailed me and called me.  I love you guys.

Hola Mi Gente!

Solo queria homenajear a mi hermana Sonia, que paso de esta vida a la vida eterna este lunes, 17 de diciembre. Sonia murio de un "massive heart attack".  Fue de momento y estamos de luto ahora.  Sonia dejo 5 hijos, y 4 nietos.  Su hija Ericka y sobrino Joshua viven conmigo - ella vivia conmigo tambien.  :(  Pero ahora ella esta en la Gloria descansando sin el ajetreo aqui.  Gozando con mi mama alla. 

Habiamos acabado de llegar de pasar unas vacaciones familiar (16 familiares) en un cruzero a Cozumel Mexico.  Disfrutamos muchisimo.  Las fotos que puse de Sonia fueron de la semana pasada. 

Solo queria darle un recordatorio y que sepan todos que ella fue tremenda mujer, hija, madre, hermana y abuela.  Que Dios la tenga en su Gloria.

Hola Mi Gente Linda, Feas, Gordas y Flacas!!!

I know I haven't been around, but I've been quite busy with work, watching my Yankees lose, conferences and some personal family issues happening at home.  Just trying to keep my head on straight.

At any rate, I still think about you guys, and wish everyone well.   I miss many of you and others - truly I don't miss the nonsense. 

Take care and remember - it's all about respect to one another - no matter the gender, the color, the size, the team they choose to root for, what they look like, etc.  The exterior part of us is always temporary, that can change at any time, but the inside is what counts!
